Key Responsibilities:We’re looking for an experienced Chief Accountant, who who can manage accounting in a multi-client environment - ranging from startups to established businesses. The ideal candidate delivers financial and statutory excellence across diverse industries.Serve as a trusted advisor to clients on accounting and tax matters, providing recommendations tailored to their business models and industry specificsLead the onboarding of new clients, including assessing accounting needs, configuring systems, migrating data, and ensuring a smooth transitionManage full-cycle financial and statutory accounting for clients, ensuring accuracy and complianceDevelop and maintain accounting and tax policies, internal controls, and process documentationProvide accounting treatment and professional judgements in line with IFRS and relevant industry considerationsEnsure timely and accurate preparation of financial statements in compliance with international standards (IFRS)Oversee the submission of tax, statutory, and statistical reporting in line with Kazakhstan legislation and international standardsRepresent clients in interactions with tax authorities and other external stakeholdersManage client settlements with suppliers and customers, ensuring accurate reconciliations and visibility over cash flowsPrepare and deliver regular financial reports and insights to client leadership, highlighting key trends, risks and opportunitiesSupport clients during external audits, including preparation of documentation and explanation of accounting positionsSupervise and support junior accountants and client-side finance teams; provide trainings to ensure process alignment and skills developmentOperate across multiple accounting systems, with a strong emphasis on 1CMaintain high levels of client satisfaction and long-term partnership, acting as the primary point of contact for assigned clientsContribute to internal knowledge sharing, development of standard operating procedures, and continuous improvement initiativesRequirements:Higher education in accounting, finance, or economicsMinimum 15 years of professional experience in accounting and finance, including at least 5 years in a Chief Accountant or similar leadership roleProven cross-industry experience - particularly in agriculture, manufacturing, and retailPrior work in consulting or outsourced accounting services is a strong advantageDeep knowledge of Kazakhstan tax legislation and IFRSFully qualified ACCA, CPA, or equivalent certificationProficient in 1C; working knowledge of global ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) is a plusSkillsStrong leadership and team management skillsExcellent communication and client engagement skills; ability to clearly explain complex financial issuesProven ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines without compromising qualityExceptional attention to details and process disciplineSolid analytical thinking, sound judgement, and problem-solving capabilitiesFluent in Russian and English (spoken and written)Proactive, reliable and capable of working independently or in distributed teamsComfortable in a dynamic, high-growth, multi-client environmentWho we areWe’re a newly established fractional finance firm (LLP) providing expert-led outsourced and advisory services across accounting, tax, internal controls, treasury, financial management, ESG, and broader strategic finance.What we doWe work side by side with our clients to build a robust financial foundation, bring clarity to the numbers, ensure regulatory and tax compliance, and support informed, strategic decision-making.
