- PhD in Electrical and Computer Engineering or Electrical Engineering from a reputable university, with teaching experience.
- Demonstrated expertise in hardware–software co-design, real-time systems, embedded system integration, PCB design and prototyping, FPGA-based system design, industrial automation, cyber-physical systems, and edge-device architectures with exposure to power and energy systems and high-voltage applications.
- Comprehensive knowledge of core and elective courses within an Electrical and Computer Engineering curriculum, including both theoretical instruction and laboratory-based teaching with familiarity across modern power engineering and high voltage devices considered an advantage.
- Strong academic and applied background in Machine Learning (ML) and Artificial Intelligence (AI), particularly in applications related to electrical, embedded, industrial, and intelligent energy systems.
- Extensive familiarity with electrical equipment, laboratory instrumentation, motors, electric machines and drives, protection devices, industrial electrical installations, and high-voltage laboratory practices.
- Experience engaging with culturally diverse student populations and supporting inclusive learning environments.
- Proven ability to collaborate effectively within interdisciplinary teams spanning computing, automation, and energy-focused research areas.
- Capability to design and deliver short courses and professional development programs in areas such as AI applications for edge devices, embedded systems, PCB prototyping, industrial automation technologies and edge-enabled smart energy solutions.
