Project Manager

• Baiuly Capital is an investment holding company developing a portfolio of assets in the industrial and FMCG sectors in Kazakhstan.
• The holding is currently in a phase of active development and scaling, with a focus on growing existing businesses, launching new business lines, and improving operational efficiency across the portfolio.
• The group includes manufacturing assets undergoing a comprehensive transformation and growth program, including modernization of production facilities, expansion of product portfolios, and development of distribution channels.
• As part of its development, a centralized Project Management Office (PMO) is being established to manage the portfolio of investment and operational projects, implement unified project management standards, and ensure transparency in the execution of strategic initiatives.
• The Project Manager role involves participation in key holding-level projects with a direct impact on business development, including investment projects, operational improvement initiatives, and strategic programs.

• Manage investment and/or operational projects across the full lifecycle
• Develop and maintain project plans (timelines, budget, resources, key milestones)
• Coordinate cross-functional teams (engineering, finance, procurement, contractors, etc.)
• Monitor project timelines, budget, and key project KPIs
• Manage risks: identification, assessment, and implementation of mitigation measures
• Maintain project documentation (plans, risk registers, reports, meeting minutes)
• Prepare regular project status reports for management
• Organize and lead status meetings, ensure follow-up on agreed actions
• Interact with external contractors and suppliers, monitor fulfillment of obligations
• Participate in the development of business cases, financial models, and investment justifications
• Ensure transparency of project statuses and accuracy of the project portfolio register
• Implement and adhere to project management standards and methodologies (PMO)

• Implementation of investment projects (from business case development to execution and commissioning)
• Construction and commissioning of new industrial facilities and production plants
• Modernization of production facilities (equipment upgrades, process optimization, cost reduction initiatives)
• Launch of new products and product categories (including development, market entry, and scaling)
• Operational efficiency improvement projects (cost optimization, productivity enhancement, process improvement)
• Implementation of ERP systems and other digital solutions
• Development and optimization of supply chain and logistics processes
• Market expansion and development of new sales channels
• Cross-functional projects at the holding level (synergy initiatives, centralized functions, shared services)
• Business process transformation and implementation of project management standards (PMO setup and development)

• Higher education (preferably in engineering, economics, or project management)
• At least 5 years of experience in end-to-end project management (preferably in industrial / construction / investment projects)
• Strong planning skills (MS Project / Smartshet / similar tools)
• Experience with budgeting, financial modeling, and investment evaluation (is an advantage)
• Experience working with contractors and contract management
• Understanding of risk and schedule management principles
• Experience in preparing management-level reporting
• Strong facilitation and stakeholder management skills
• Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, basic analytics) and PowerPoint (presentation development and structuring)
• English – Advanced or higher

• Certification from Project Management Institute (PMP / CAPM)
• Experience working in a PMO or implementing project management standards
• Experience in mining, metallurgy, energy, or FMCG industries
• Experience with project management tools (e.g., Jira, Asana, Smartsheet)
• Experience in consulting or investment projects
