Wood (trading locally as WOOD KSS LLP) is currently recruiting for Senior Instrument Designer with extensive experience in the oil and gas petrochemical industry.Responsibilities:
  • Under direct supervision, prepare project drawings and documents from the basic data supplied, using the appropriate software
  • Designs and drawings for accuracy and conformance to technical specifications and procedures
  • Ensure all relevant specifications, codes, standards and procedures and technical instructions from engineering are being correctly applied
  • Maintain drawing registers and ensure Document Management System is maintained to current procedures
  • Contributes to technical delivery of engineering excellence through
  • Executing assigned scopes of work
  • Providing discipline expertise to the business
  • Uses technical knowledge to perform engineering assignments and produce a range of engineering deliverables (including more complex tasks) with limited guidance and direction from more senior technical professionals
  • Evaluates, selects, and adapts standard techniques, procedures, and criteria to perform tasks
  • Fully qualified to execute most standard and straight forward engineering activities
  • Under general supervision performs all conventional aspects of design engineering and analysis, acting as document originator
  • Creates and reviews designs, drawings, specifications and other engineering deliverables involving both existing and new technology and applications
  • Conduct site surveys and issue reports when required
Skills / Qualifications:
  • Technical Degree (Bsc) or Higher in their Chosen Discipline
  • Experience of working as a Senior in their discipline for no less than 3 Years
