About the RoleTo support the Kazakhstan Finance team in improving tax processes, reducing risks, and ensuring accuracy, EY’s Transformation Office is hiring a Tax Compliance Lead. This position is dedicated to supporting the existing tax team, providing expertise, structure, and stability.The role focuses on fixing process gaps, aligning tax and accounting data, and building a sustainable tax compliance environment.Key Responsibilities

Review all existing tax processes, workflows, and reconciliation practices
Resolve structural issues in VAT, CIT, WHT, payroll taxes, and other statutory requirements
Rebuild tax reconciliations and align them with GL balances
Develop proper documentation, process maps, and tax calendars
Lead and mentor the existing tax team
Ensure timely filings and minimize audit risks
Implement standardized review controls

Requirements

5-8 years of experience in Kazakhstan tax compliance
Deep understanding of VAT, CIT, payroll tax, tax accounting, and reconciliations
Experience interacting with tax authorities
Strong ability to diagnose, correct, and rebuild processes
Excellent communication and coaching skills
Fluency in Russian; English preferred
