We are seeking an Accountant with a finance or accounting background. In this position, you will collaborate with the global shared service Accounts Payable accounting team and participate in month-end closure and other accounting tasks.This position offers remote setup with the flexibility to work from any location in Kazakhstan, whether it's your home or well-equipped offices in Astana, Almaty or Karaganda.ResponsibilitiesCheck the correctness of accounting attributes for expenditure supporting documentsMake bank payments to EPAM counterparties, including domestic and foreign wire payments, batch and individual transfersPerform US GAAP bookkeeping for Company expenditures by type, as well as US GAAP bookkeeping for respective AP and bank paymentsComplete monthly accounting close of specified accounts in SAP according to established proceduresCommunicate with local statutory accountants regarding bookkeeping issues when necessaryProvide explanations and supporting documentation to the Senior or Lead Accountant for all in-scope companies when requiredRespond to audit requests and attend regular meetings with external and internal auditorsParticipate in regular improvement process activities with the IT development team, analyze areas for improvement, and test new enhancementsRequirementsFinance or accounting background1+ years of accounting experienceFamiliarity with MS Office, especially ExcelEnglish level B2 or higher, both written and spokenAttention to detailHigh personal responsibilityAbility to work within agreed rules and proceduresReadiness for ongoing self-developmentEnglish proficiency at B2 level or higherReadiness to shifted working hours 12 PM – 9 PM (UTC+6) / 11 AM – 8 PM (UTC+5)Nice to haveACCA/DipIFR certificationKnowledge of SAPWe offer/BenefitsWe connect like-minded people:
