We are looking for a proactive and technically skilled Manager (Desktop Administrator / Application Support) to join our IT Operations and Cyber Security team. This role plays a key part in ensuring stable operation of corporate information systems, providing high-quality desktop support, and contributing to smooth IT/Media support during corporate events. The ideal candidate is a detail-oriented professional with strong technical capabilities, a customer-first mindset, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.Key Responsibilities:Provide first-line and selected second-line technical support via phone, chat, remote tools, and in person.Deliver full user support for desktop hardware, software, and corporate applications.Administer user accounts in corporate systems (local and cloud).Manage printers and multifunctional devices.Provide IT/Media support for corporate events, including preparation and coordination.Manage incidents and service requests in line with procedures and SLAs.Handle daily service desk operations including incident and request management.Maintain and update documentation for supported systems and processes.Support knowledge base development and maintenance.Collect technical requirements for IT procurement.Assist with periodic IT-related payments.Ensure confidentiality, safety, and proper documentation handling.Comply with internal policies, regulations, and AIFC legislation.Ensure service delivery meets operational requirements.Perform additional duties assigned by the Line Manager or Chief Digital Officer.QualificationsBachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field (Master’s degree is an advantage).Professional certifications such as ITIL, Microsoft, Cisco, or desktop administration are preferred.Minimum 2 years of experience in IT operations, application support, or desktop/ system administration.Strong experience in incident and problem management, system administration, and service delivery.Hands-on experience with Microsoft 365, Active Directory, enterprise systems, cloud platforms, and basic networking.Proficiency with Microsoft Office and ITSM tools (e.g., ServiceNow, Jira).Ability to work independently, manage workload, and meet deadlines.Strong communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.Analytical, critical thinking, and problem‑solving abilities with strong organizational and follow-up skills.Language skills: English — fluent; Russian — fluent; Kazakh — fluent.The Astana International Financial Centre (AIFC) is a unique centre on the economic map of the world, combining the best experience and the most modern capabilities of advanced financial centers from New York and London to Dubai, Hong Kong and Singapore.The AIFC’s mission is to contribute to the sustainable economic development of Kazakhstan and the region, by fostering innovation financial solutions and services by establishing an environment that delivers fair and transparent financial and capital markets, in which individuals and institutions act with integrity.The vision of the AIFC is to become the leading international financial centre in Central Asia, the Caucasus, the Eurasia Economic Union, Western China, Mongolia, and Eastern Europe.
