We are seeking a detail-oriented and innovative Senior Automated Testing Engineer in Python for Embedded Systems to join our high-performing team.If you're passionate about crafting advanced testing solutions for complex embedded systems and thrive in an environment focused on innovation and growth, we want to hear from you.Unlock the potential of remote work in Kazakhstan, giving you the flexibility to work from home or access our offices in Astana, Almaty or Karaganda.ResponsibilitiesDevelop and execute automated test cases to ensure reliable and optimal functionality of embedded systemsDesign and implement test frameworks and scripts using Python and PytestAnalyze and interpret test results, summarize metrics, and communicate findings clearly to stakeholdersWork closely with firmware and hardware engineers to debug and resolve issuesEnsure comprehensive test coverage for new features and updatesContribute to the enhancement of testing infrastructure and practices for continuous improvementCollaborate on the creation of test plans and strategies aligned with project requirementsUtilize dev boards for prototyping and test validation, referencing datasheets and specificationsDebug communication interfaces such as UART, SPI, and I2C in testing scenariosNavigate Linux-based environments, perform configurations, and analyze system logsRequirements3+ years of working experience in automated testing, with a focus on embedded systemsExpertise in Python and Pytest with experience in built-in Python modules, fixtures, marks, and hooksProficiency in Linux with skills in basic configuration, command-line navigation, service management, and scriptingFamiliarity with dev boards like Arduino or ESP, including working with datasheets, schematics, and protoboard creationUnderstanding of communication protocols such as UART, 1-wire, SPI, I2C/TWI, or CAN/LINCompetency in debugging firmware, interpreting schematics, and analyzing hardware issuesKnowledge of operating systems like RTOS or Linux, including SoC/MCU interfaces, virtual memory, and kernel principlesBackground in sensors, actuators, motors, and basic working principles of semiconductors, passive and active componentsNice to haveFamiliarity with NAND/NOR memory types and EPROM technologiesExpertise in debugging advanced schematics and hardware boards at scaleUnderstanding of memory protection units (MPUs) and their roles in system designExperience with production-grade embedded solutionsA Master's technical degree or equivalent advanced training in the fieldWe offer/BenefitsWe connect like-minded people:
