ATU Duty Free was founded in 2000 as a joint venture between TAV Airports Holding and Unifree Duty Free/Gebr. Heinemann. We now operate 110 shops covering 25.000 sqm of retail space, spanning 21 airports in 7 countries across the globe.Headquartered in Istanbul, ATU employs more than 1.600 people worldwide, serving approximately 100 million customers annually.We're looking for a "Legal adviser" for our Kazakhstan operationManagement, dispatch and administration of all legal processes within the scope of the Company's activities at home and abroad.Evaluating whether project/business setups/company practices/processes/actions are suitable according to the provisions of the Labor Legislation, Customs Legislation, Consumer Legislation, Turkish Commercial Code, Code of Obligations, legislation on the Protection of Personal Data and/or other relevant legislation/specifying legally appropriate alternatives as to how they may be suitable, informing them about the risks of proceeding in their current state, arranging/controlling the necessary documents.Responsibilities:
  • Conducting legal analysis and researching legal matters
  • Providing advice on legal matters
Calculate potential business risks * Drafting legal opinions, memoranda, and briefing documents
  • Reviewing legal material
  • Formulating formalities regarding settlements of disputes
  • Monitoring the implementation of the legal clauses
Interaction with governmental authorities, preparation of responses to official requests, and participation in inspectionsRepresentation and protection of the company’s interests before governmental bodies and other official institutions.Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in law
  • Experience in the law field
  • Strong analytical and research skills
  • Effective interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to work well within a team and individually
  • Experience in representing and defending company interests before governmental authorities, courts, and other official institutions.
