Responsibilities:
  • Translate Mathematics and Science school textbooks from English to Kazakh, ensuring accuracy, clarity, and age-appropriate terminology.
  • Review and validate translated content to maintain subject precision and educational coherence.
  • Adapt academic content where needed to fit local educational standards and curriculum expectations.
  • Ensure consistent terminology, style, and grade-level appropriateness across all materials.
  • Collaborate with project managers and editors to resolve questions, terminology challenges, and subject‑specific issues.
  • Meet project deadlines and deliver high‑quality work with minimal supervision.
Requirements:Language Skills * Mastery-level proficiency in both English and Kazakh, spoken and written.
  • Excellent command of subject-specific terminology in both languages.
Academic / Professional Background * Proven experience translating Math and/or Science school textbooks.
  • Strong understanding of KG–12 educational content
  • Demonstrated ability to translate complex academic concepts accurately and coherently.
  • Former or current Math or Science teacher, curriculum specialist, or educational expert is a plus.
Additional Skills * Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to work independently and manage deadlines.
  • Familiarity with educational publishing standards is an advantage.
  • Experience with digital tools for translation or content review is a plus.
