SENIOR SAFETY SPECIALIST

• Provide support and expertise to KPO for planning and implementation of effective S&E communication;
• Develop S&E Communication plans and drive their effective implementation across all KPO directorates and departments.Implement the latest communication tools and techniques that are practical and effective in KPO context and local culture;
• Support the line manager and other team members in ensuring that S&E communication procedure and process are fit for purpose and effectively implemented. Ensure delivery of high-quality work in time as required by line manager and other stakeholders.
• Plan, develop and implement S&E communication campaigns.
• Assess and propose the means of communication (e.g. meetings, formal/informal conversations, stand-downs large or small, email, KPO portal, mobile apps, visual aids materials (poster, banners, videos, etc.) aimed to improve safety awareness and enhance safety culture; review their effectiveness and ensure improvements.
• Prepare communication materials and support KPO departments with structured roll out.
• Provide support to custodians of S&E plans and procedures. Participate in timely review and update of procedures.
• Interact with all KPO departments at different levels, as well as contractor companies, to promote effective communication.
• Support implementation of best practice on what makes an effective communication, and how to sustain its effect.
• Participate in safety inspections, audits, reviews of the workplace to identify potential hazards and risks using various tools and techniques, such as checklists and risk assessments, to evaluate the safety of the workplace.
• Collaborate with team members for development and implementation of communication strategy and plans.
• Organise and facilitate internal and external communication campaigns and events.
• Perform communications in compliance with KPO policies and procedures.
• Support and evaluate results of communication campaigns with the team.
• Provide support to KPO departments and directorates to implement KPO HSE Improvement plan.
• Actively participate in KPO-wide safety improvement initiatives.
• Interact with all KPO departments at different levels, as well as contractor companies, to promote effective communication.
• Perform tasks assigned by line manager that necessary to ensure delivery of safety programs and meeting Goal Zero objective of the company.

• Intermediate (B1) English level is an advantage on this role;
• working knowledge of HSE topics / vocabulary;
• the principles of international oil field practices in safety management;
• company organisation structure;

• knowledge of oil and gas industry;
• labour code / law on civil protection of the RoK;
• safety rules and regulation;
• ISO 45001 requirements;
