We are now expanding our editorial capabilities and seeking a highly skilled Content & Editorial Specialist.
Role PurposeThis is not a typical marketing or SMM role. This is a serious editorial position at a top-tier law firm, requiring strong analytical thinking, journalistic discipline, and an ability to work with complex information. The specialist will be responsible for transforming the BD & Marketing team into a high-performing content engine producing expert-level materials, driving editorial quality, and shaping the firm’s public voice across multiple platforms.The ideal candidate is someone who:
  • Treats content as a strategic product;
  • Understands deadlines and editorial workflow;
  • Can work under pressure with partners and senior lawyers;
  • Can translate complex legal and technical content into clear, structured, authoritative materials.
Key Responsibilities1. Content Production
  • Produce 6-7 high-quality materials per month, including analytics, legal digests, market reviews, blogs, investor outlooks, and expert comments.
  • Write and edit long-form and short-form articles for the blog.
  • Prepare texts for newsletters, client updates, brochures, BD decks, and PDF materials.
2. Analytical Work
  • Edit, simplify, and restructure dense legal or technical content.
  • Meet the clarity, accuracy, and alignment with brand tone.
  • Work with large volumes of information and conduct factual verification.
3. Journalistic Functions
  • Conduct interviews with partners, senior lawyers, and external experts.
  • Develop storylines, write narrative-based materials, and ensure fact-checking.
  • Prepare interview scripts, structure responses, and turn raw insights into quality content.
4. Content Management
  • Maintain a content calendar with strict deadlines.
  • Support website updates and manage the firm's internal Knowledge Hub.
  • Maintain an organised archive of all content and project materials.
5. Formatting and Digital Skills
  • Prepare materials for publication, including basic layout and formatting of PDFs, cards, and editorial visuals.
  • Apply basic SEO practices (headlines, keywords, structure optimisation): not mandatory skill.
  • Use AI tools to accelerate drafting and research.
6. Project Experience (Critical Responsibility)
  • Draft detailed project descriptions for all practices across Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, and Kyrgyzstan.
  • Conduct interviews with legal teams to gather case details and achievements.
  • Research market data through open sources (government releases, corporate reports, media, industry databases).
  • Produce polished materials for BD submissions.
7. Interactive Content
  • Conduct interviews with subscribers, clients, and stakeholders.
  • Prepare LinkedIn and newsletter polls, Q&As, surveys, thematic rubrics.
  • Build engagement-oriented content lines (Ask Unicase, Your Market Eyesight).
  • Analyse audience behaviour and adjust editorial strategy.
Candidate Requirements
  • High Degree in journalism, politics, linguistics, philology, PR, international relations, or a related field.
  • Strong academic background preferred.
  • Experience in legal/consulting topics is an advantage, but not required ability to learn fast is essential. 3–4 years in journalism, editorial work, copywriting, media, or content marketing.
  • Proven experience with interviews, analytics, and long-form writing.
  • Experience in working under structured editorial processes and strict deadlines.
Skills
  • Upper–C1 English + strong written Russian (mandatory).
  • Ability to convert complex topics into clear, engaging text.
  • Strong research and analytical capabilities.
  • Attention to detail, accuracy, and fact-checking discipline.
  • Basic SEO and formatting understanding.
  • Ability to adjust writing style to a professional brand.
