  • Support computer users in the operation, enhancement, and problem solving of various software packages
  • Oversee the installation and enhancement of software packages and hardware in the hotel.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
  • Maintain, support and enhance software application systems.
  • Coordinate normal maintenance and upgrades to the software.
  • Solve user problems with software usage and software bugs.
  • Supervise programmers in programming enhancements for reports and operation of the software packages.
  • Assist with the identification, development and implementation of new system applications to satisfy business requirements of the hotel.
  • Advise both users and systems staff in the use of software applications.
  • Oversee the operation and development of interfaces between the various computer systems.
  • Assist other systems personnel in the support of the hardware and operation.
  • Aid other systems personnel with the day to day support of computer systems.
  • Answer Telephone calls for Information Technology in a courteous manner.
  • Continuously monitor MyService desk call logging program during the shift ensuring correct follow up is done to resolve tickets.
  • Complete the daily IT checklist if necessary.
  • Assist the IT Manager in completing monthly, quarterly and yearly checklists attaching all required evidence.
  • Monitor the St Regis security programs and rectify as and when there is an alert. Ensure you are aware of the latest MarriottGlobal Security Policies and that they are implemented within our Complex.
  • Keep the IT Team informed about any major challenges.
  • Support guests with in room technologies when required.
  • Assist all associates with computer related enquiries and problems.
  • Knowledge of emergency procedures in the event of an emergency
  • Comply with the hotels legal requirements for fire, bomb threats and Health & Safety.
  • Good knowledge of all the different types of rooms, hotel facilities, and hours of operation, restaurants, shops and function rooms.

  • Review and approve computing equipment and software purchases, keeping in mind the appropriateness of the purpose, compliance with company objectives and availability of budgeted capital.
  • Plan the professional development of all Systems Department Personnel to ensure the highest level of competency, continued support of ongoing projects and low departmental turnover.
  • Good interpersonal, People management and Leadership skills
  • Excellent problem solving skills, communication and reporting skills, customer service & people skills and flexible
QUALIFICATION STANDARDSMust be able to demonstrate:
  • Passion for the industry and excellence in guest service
  • Outstanding professional communication and personal presentation.
  • Personal initiative, resolve and high energy towards tasks and goals.
  • Must be proficient in English and Russian.
Education:
  • IT Bachelor’s Degree preferred. Additional IT qualification is a plus.
Experience:
  • One year in similar role and two years’ experience in Hospitality required.
Grooming:
  • All employees must maintain a neat, clean and well-groomed appearance per Marriott/Starwood standards.
