Together, we enable our customers to produce the materials needed for a better future.Position SummaryThe Long-Term Contract Coordinator is responsible for coordinating and supporting long-term mining service contracts in Kazakhstan and CA. The role ensures effective execution of on-site service agreements, permanent or rotational presence of Field Service Engineers (FSEs), and close cooperation with mining customers. The position acts as a key link between local operations, mine sites, and global service teams to ensure contract compliance, high equipment availability, and customer satisfaction.Key ResponsibilitiesCoordinate execution of long-term service and maintenance contracts at mining sites in Kazakhstan and Central Asia.Act as the primary operational contact for customers on contract-related service matters.Support permanent and rotational deployment of Field Service Engineers (FSEs) to mine sites.Coordinate mobilization, demobilization, visas, work permits, site inductions, and medical checks.Ensure compliance with contract scope, KPIs, SLAs, and customer safety requirements.Maintain and control contract documentation, including variations, extensions, and amendments.Coordinate with Global Service teams for technical support, documentation, and expertise.Support tech/commercial proposals, invoicing, cost tracking, ICPO coordination, and budget control together with Finance.Monitor contract performance, service delivery, and equipment availability indicators.Identify operational risks, resource gaps, and escalation needs, and support mitigation actions.Support customer meetings, audits, site reviews, and performance reporting.Ensure compliance with HSE standards, local legislation, and mining site regulations.Support transition of service personnel between sites (e.g. Kaz Minerals, Karasay, MOF).Qualifications and ExperienceBachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.3–5 years of experience in service coordination, contract administration, or operations support within mining or heavy industry.Experience working with long-term service contracts and on-site service models is required.Familiarity with mining equipment, maintenance services, or process plant operations is an advantage.Experience working with global support teams.Skills and CompetenciesStrong coordination and organizational skills in a site-based environment.Ability to manage multiple contracts, sites, and priorities simultaneously.Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.Practical problem-solving mindset with customer-oriented approach.High attention to detail and documentation accuracy.Proficient in MS Office; SAP/ERP experience is an advantage.Fluent in English (mandatory); Russian required;Performance IndicatorsCompliance with long-term service contract requirementsCustomer satisfaction and contract retentionTimely mobilization and continuity of site service personnelAccuracy of cost tracking, invoicing support, and documentationHSE compliance and zero harm performanceFLSmidth is the leading supplier of engineering, equipment and service solutions to customers in the mining and minerals industries – for more information please visit
