The firm is the first of its kind in Central Asia and is ranked by Legal500 and Chambers & Partners.Role DescriptionThis is a full-time hybrid role for a Legal Associate at Vakhidov & Partners in Almaty, with flexibility for remote work. The Legal Associate will be responsible for researching law, drafting legal memoranda, agreements and corporate documents, attending team and external meetings in Almaty.Qualifications

Completed local Bachelor's degree in Law in Kazakhstan
Excellent (C-1/C-2) writing skills in Russian AND English. Kazakh language knowledge is a big plus;
Strong background/experience in Law and Legal Issues (preferably 2-6 years of experience)
Proficiency in Legal Document Preparation in several languages
Excellent Analytical Skills
Effective Communication skills
Masters/LL.M. from a prominent foreign law school is a big plus;
Miscrosoft Office proficient;
Team work;
Readiness to work in hybrid mode (home and office);
Readiness to work with multiple tasks in tight deadlines;
Adherence to high ethical standards and compliance;
Self-discipline and striving for growth.

Members of our team provided legal support to various major international pharmaceutical, FMCG, telecom, manufacturing and other companies in their day-to-day business, resolving complex regulatory issues, analyzing and mitigating legal and compliance risks in both Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan. We have also assisted numerous international companies on M&As and corporate restructuring projects in Central Asia.

We have also served as national experts in developing the draft legislation on key regulatory issues, managing the legislative process with the key stakeholders.

For many years we have been leading specialized legal committees to proactively serve the industry and have participated in determining and providing legal and GR support to achieve the development strategy of major companies in the local markets.
