This role is key to delivering exceptional customer service by seamlessly integrating sourcing, manufacturing, and operations.The Specialist will be responsible for ensuring that site-specific requirements are met efficiently, on time, and at minimal cost. By proactively interpreting demand signals, the role supports agile decision-making and contributes to a resilient and responsive supply chain.This position is based at the Orica Office in Almaty, Kazakhstan.Deliver meaningful impact to our industry, our communities, and the world around us.What you will be doing
  • Interpret and manage site level demand forecast, identifying and addressing month-on-month variances to ensure accurate planning;
  • Execute long-term planning activities in alignment with the S&OP calendar, including safety stock calculation, supply planning prioritization across echelons, inventory planning and inventory value projections using Integrated Business Planning (IBP) and tools;
  • Support manufacturing planning through the Rought Cut Planning (RCCP), ensuring alignment between demand and production capabilities;
  • Conduct analysis to prevent slow-and obsolete - moving inventory (SLOB) from a long-term planning perspective, ensuring master data integrity and that any supply of SLOB materials is strategically justified;
  • Maintain and correct material master data to enable robust and reliable long-term planning within the IBP system;
  • Act as a link between market-facing teams and production, ensuring alignment between marketplace activities and manufacturing priorities;
  • Manage demand-supply imbalances by facilitating effective load prioritization in collaboration with all relevant stakeholders.
What you will bring
  • Degree-level qualification in logistics, supply chain management, economics, or technical field;
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in planning or logistics, preferably in industrial or mining sectors;
  • Solid understanding of MRP principles, inventory management, and logistics processes;
  • Proficiency in Excel and ERP systems (SAP, 1C, etc.);
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and collaborative mindset.
