Andersen is hiring a Project Manager/Scrum Master for a Saudi Arabia holding company. The role is to develop an internal exam engine to streamline assessments and reduce reliance on third-party integrations.The customer is a holding company in the labour market in Saudi Arabia, operating under the Ministry of Labor. It leads the socio-economic transformation for individuals, society, and the economy by creating unique solutions to fulfil everyone's needs.The project is the development of an internal exam engine to conduct assessments in the client’s own test centers. This solution aims to eliminate the need for costly and complex integrations with third-party providers, ensuring greater control, flexibility, and efficiency in exam delivery.Responsibilities:
  • Champion adherence to the Scrum framework, including all its ceremonies and artefacts.
  • Utilising techniques for effective Product Backlog management.
  • Ensuring clear and concise Product Backlog items for the Scrum Team.
  • Understanding and applying product planning in an empirical environment.
  • Optimising Product Backlog arrangement for maximum value with the Product Owner.
  • Practicing and promoting agility within the team and organisation.
  • Coaching the Product Owner in prioritising and refining Product Backlog items.
  • Guiding the Development Team in self-organisation and creating high-value products.
  • Removing impediments to the Development Team's progress.
  • Facilitating Scrum events and promoting Scrum Values and Agile principles throughout the organisation.
  • Working with other Scrum Masters to increase effectiveness.
Must-haves:
  • Experience as a Project Manager or Scrum Master for 4+ years.
  • Ability to champion adherence to consistent application of the Scrum Framework, including 3 roles, 5 events, 3 artifacts, and 2 standards for artifact transparency (Definition of Done and Ready).
  • Proven experience identifying a Scrum Team’s gaps in the Scrum Framework and leading them to adopt new practices by focusing on Scrum Values and Agile principles.
  • Proven experience writing Agile User Stories with Acceptance Criteria and breaking them down into smaller tasks.
  • Ability to coach, inspire, and motivate people to change their values and practices, with successful experience persuading key stakeholders to embrace servant leadership and empower Scrum Teams.
  • Proven experience creating velocity tracking and graphs (e.g., Sprint Burndown, Release Burndown) using Agile project management tools (e.g., JIRA, Rally, VersionOne, Trello) or advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
  • Excellent verbal communication skills, especially in conflict resolution and negotiation.
  • Proven experience facilitating Lean IT process flows, including Kanban.
  • English level – from Upper-Intermediate and above.
