British Council Pay band: 2/J Contract type: Indefinite Location: Kazakhstan, Almaty Start date: 01 April 2026 Salary: 356,500 KAZ gross per month Closing date: 27 Feb 2026 (23.59 ICT) Role purpose We are looking for a dedicated and skilled professional to play a key role in enhancing the security, efficiency, and compliance of our global exam delivery operations. This role ensures the secure delivery and administration of IELTS, Educational, Professional, and Aptis exams, maintaining compliance with British Council standards. It focuses on handling confidential materials, managing post-test operations, and ensuring contingency plans. The English and Examinations Strategic Business Unit (E&E) builds trust for the UK through language and culture, supporting global access to education and work. This role adapts to changing demands, standardizes practices, and drives efficiency across a global network. Main accountabilities Product & Service Support Ensure secure handling, storage and distribution of exam materials, including CMR management, in line with BC and awarding body standards. Manage packing, reconciliation, tracking, return/scanning/shredding of materials and results processing. Escalate discrepancies promptly and support continuous improvement in service quality and efficiency. Customer Support & Stakeholder Management Respond to enquiries and act as a point of contact for assigned areas, escalating complex issues as required. Proactively flag incidents or risks impacting service delivery or customer experience. Act on instructions from Operations Manager and cluster teams efficiently. Build effective working relationships to support timely issue resolution. Risk & Compliance Maintain compliance with CMR, safeguarding, security and corporate risk procedures. Support audits and promote strong awareness of confidentiality standards within the team. Finance & Resource Management Monitor and manage small-scale resources, stock and equipment in line with procedures. Managing Self & Others Plan and prioritise work to meet operational deadlines and coordinate others where required. Maintain professional development in line with organisational guidelines. Accountabilities may be amended in line with business needs and confirmed by the Line Manager. Education Relevant university degree or equivalent experience Role knowledge and experience Minimum/essential Experience in identifying and minimising risk Experience in compliance environment Experience of working in a high volume, busy operational environment, delivering to standard Be able to track record of working in a tightly controlled process driven environment. Desirable Education or work experience in logistics services sector. Experience of supporting on delivery of computer-based exams. Important information Fluent written and spoken Russian and English Candidate must have the legal right to work in the stated location.
