Chief Accountant

- Oversee all accounting operations, including general ledger, accounts payable/receivable, payroll, and reconciliations
- Ensure compliance with Kazakhstan accounting standards and tax legislation
- Prepare and submit statutory financial statements and tax reports in accordance with local regulations
- Manage monthly, quarterly, and annual closing processes
- Liaise with external auditors, tax authorities, and regulatory bodies
- Monitor cash flow and ensure accurate financial forecasting
- Ensure timely tax filings (VAT, CIT, payroll taxes, etc.)
- Maintain and improve internal controls and accounting procedures
- Support budgeting and financial planning processes
- Supervise and mentor accounting staff (if applicable)
- Higher education in Accounting, Finance, or Economics
- Certified Professional Accountant qualification (preferred)
- Minimum 5–7 years of accounting experience, with at least 2 years in a senior or chief accountant role
- Strong knowledge of Kazakhstan accounting and tax legislation
- Experience with ERP/accounting systems • Advanced Excel skills
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail • Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
- Fluency in Russian required; English is an advantage
- Candidates with a background in travel or hospitality will be preferred
