Responsibilities
  • Working as part of a dynamic independence team on all matters related to (i) client and personal independence (ii) business relationships, including but not limited to: - Participating in the (i) client and engagement acceptance independence and (ii) business relationships monitoring; -Any other independence questions or projects that might arise.
  • Reporting findings, progress and preliminary conclusions to Independence Supervisor of Independence;
  • Communicating effectively with others in QRR, engagement teams, and senior management as required;
  • Communicate with a variety of colleagues verbally and also in writing;
  • Become proficient in the use of Deloitte software;
  • Support Independence Manager/s in carrying out the monitoring and updating systems;
  • Review incoming requests regarding the accuracy of data presented;
  • Gather, research, analyse and organise information from internal databases/provided by others;
  • Carry out additional duties based on the needs of a specific colleague/department – these may be for the broader Independence Team.
Candidate requirements:
  • a bachelor’s degree, preferably in economic, finance, risk management, law or linguistics;
  • a basic understanding of the specifics of the activities of major companies in the Caspian region and further afield;
  • the ability to work comfortably and collaboratively as part of a team, and independently in certain cases, and work on several tasks simultaneously, sometimes under time pressure;
  • an analytical mind; strong attention to detail; the ability to analyse information critically — draw up the correct logical conclusions based on available facts and arguments;
  • the ability to understand the requirements of internal regulations and work with confidential information;
  • the motivation to provide our internal clients with quality services;
  • excellent verbal and written communication skills in Russian and English;
  • the ability to follow instructions and act within the framework of their scope of responsibility, offering and implementing improvement initiatives;
  • good computer skills (MS Office).
