- Calculating and advising on life and non-life insurance policies and reserves, pensions and employee benefits;
- Applying mathematical and statistical techniques to business problems;
- Actuarial modeling and financial risk modeling;
- Reporting under IFRS principles;
- Guiding the junior staff and building communications with clients;
- Preparation of reports and presentation materials. Performing research and problem solving. Active participation in business development and workshops facilitation.
- Graduate in Actuarial Science / Statistics / Mathematics/ Economics/ Finance/Engineering;
- Relevant actuarial experience in insurance industry;
- Expertise in IFRS 17 gap-analysis & implementation is an advantage;
- Good understanding of calculus, finance, probability, and actuarial mathematics.
- Successful completion of actuarial exams through an accredited academy or professional society is an advantage.
- Having a Kazakhstani actuarial license is an advantage;
- Skills in Analyzing, Investigating, Numeracy, Communication, Cooperating;
- Understanding of the actuarial profession: high level of responsibility falling on actuary and importance of actuarial decisions;
- Understanding of the actuarial qualification: the difficulty of actuarial exams and high commitment to learning long hours in the long run to complete actuarial exams;
- High commitment to complete the actuarial exams to get the Kazakhstani actuarial license and international actuarial qualification;
- Strong desire to become an actuary and build a career within an International Audit firm;
- Readiness to day-by-day problem solving and challenges;
- Readiness to work long hours in the busy season period;
- Good knowledge of Excel.
- Good knowledge of VBA is an advantage;
- Excellent written and oral communication skills in Russian and English;
- Good presentation skills;
