We’re currently seeking a Consultant to join our ESG & Sustainability team at KPMG in Almaty/Astana. In this role, you will provide ESG advisory to major corporations across the Central Asia and Caucasus region, supporting clients with projects in climate risk management, governance, greenhouse gas management, green and sustainable finance, and sustainability performance improvement.If you’re eager to make a real difference in the ESG space and work with industry leaders, take a closer look at this exciting opportunity!As an ESG Consultant You Will:

Support ESG advisory engagements, assisting with sustainability performance evaluations, and contributing to non-financial reporting initiatives aligned with frameworks such as GRI, IFRS S1/S2, SASB, and ESRS.
Participate in climate risk assessments, support greenhouse gas management initiatives, and develop strategies for sustainable development in client operations.
Collect, analyze, and synthesize ESG data to deliver actionable insights, contribute to sustainability impact assessments, and support report preparation for senior team members.
Assist in creating client-facing reports, presentations, and other materials that help clients make informed decisions and align with their ESG goals.
Participate in diagnostic assessments, identifying areas for improvement in client sustainability, climate resilience, and governance practices.

You’re the Perfect Match if You:

Have a strong interest in ESG, sustainability, and data-driven problem-solving.
Hold a Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in Economics, Finance, Business Administration, Statistics, Environmental Science, or a related field.
Have 1-3 years of experience in consulting (preferred) or relevant sectors like Energy, Utilities, Manufacturing, Financial Services.
Possess strong analytical and quantitative skills, with proficiency in tools like Excel and PowerPoint. Familiarity with Power BI or Tableau for data visualization is a plus.
Have excellent written and verbal communication skills and can prepare clear and concise reports and presentations.
Are fluent in English (Upper Intermediate or above).
