The plant, employing around 600 specialists trained to global standards, produces 1520‑gauge Evolution Series locomotives and serves as a major export hub for Central AsiaJob DescriptionAs an HR Operations Specialist, you will be responsible for operational and system support for employee lifecycle transactions in Workday, local CIS HR systems and social tasks under Collective Bargaining Agreement.Key Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with the Regional HR Operations team to deliver excellent customer service to the business.
  • Manage end-to-end employee lifecycle transactions in Workday, 1C: ZUP, and support special projects within Locomotive Assembly Plant and/or assigned countries.
  • Ensure accurate and timely filing of HR documentation.
  • Ensure accurate and timely execution of HR transactions in compliance with stipulated SLAs and quality standards.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for HR teams across assigned countries regarding employee lifecycle transactions and project support.
  • Execute and oversee employee lifecycle processes in Workday for CIS countries.
  • Coordinate with external vendors on payroll, insurance, and learning-related matters along with the manager.
  • Ensure alignment with regular data audits to maintain accuracy and compliance.
  • Handle HR cases through ServiceNow.
  • Identify process improvement opportunities and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Participate in Workday testing for system upgrades, enhancements, and new business processes.
  • Engage in cross-training initiatives across other HR Operations regions to build the necessary knowledge and capabilities to effectively contribute to the globalized HR Operations model.
  • Assist with additional projects and tasks as assigned.
  • Demonstrate a global mindset by collaborating cross-functionally with specific teams and actively engaging in new projects and acquisitions. Take on additional responsibilities that may be regional or global in nature to support organizational priorities.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 3 years of HR experience, preferably in a manufacturing or production environment.
  • Strong knowledge of Kazakh labor laws and local regulations, particularly shift work requirements.
  • Preferred hands-on experience with HR systems such as Workday, ServiceNow, and 1C: ZUP.
  • Proficiency in MS Office; intermediate Excel skills (pivot tables, charts, VLOOKUP). Knowledge of Power BI is an advantage.
  • Professional fluency in English, Kazakh, and Russian.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills; ability to present complex information clearly to global teams, management, and remote employees.
  • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Self-motivated, independent, and quick learner.
  • Familiarity with local government portals is a plus.
