Job DescriptionWho will you be working with?You will collaborate with cross-functional teams including engineering, supplier quality, sourcing, and external suppliers to ensure successful execution of remanufacturing programs for locomotive components. This role involves close coordination with service centers and fleet managers to maintain high-quality standards and operational efficiency.How will you make a difference?As a Remanufacturing Specialist, you will be responsible for planning and executing assigned remanufacturing programs for locomotive components. You will oversee external suppliers to ensure compliance with repair and quality standards, conduct regular audits, and analyze post-repair failure data to drive continuous improvement. Your role will also involve managing material logistics, coordinating fleet program requests, and supporting PPAP processes to maintain product integrity and reliability.What do we want to know about you?
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical/Electrical) from an accredited university.
  • Minimum 3 years in remanufacturing, repair operations, or industrial quality assurance.
  • Strong understanding of repair processes, material logistics, and supplier management.
  • Ability to analyze data, identify trends, and implement corrective actions.
  • Excellent communication and coordination skills across teams and locations.
  • Proficiency in MS Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
  • Legal authorization to work in Kazakhstan.
  • Proficiency in English.
  • Willingness to travel up to 20% of the time.
Desired Qualifications
  • Experience in the rail industry, welding, or rotating equipment.
  • Previous experience in material management roles (SAP or Oracle).
  • Proven leadership experience and strong interpersonal skills.
  • Strong problem-solving capabilities.
What will your typical day look like?
  • Plan and execute remanufacturing programs for locomotive components.
  • Monitor and audit external suppliers for compliance with quality standards.
  • Analyze component failure data and develop improvement plans.
  • Coordinate fleet program requests and conduct necessary tests.
  • Support PPAP processes and collaborate with engineering and sourcing teams.
  • Track inventory at supplier warehouses and perform stock audits.
  • Manage material orders and write-offs in accordance with WIP processes.
  • Ensure timely shipment of repairs and coordinate funding across service centers.
