SENIOR INVENTORY OPTIMIZATION ENGINEER

• Ensure appropriate replenishment stock level (Min-Max) of materials are set.
• Take data driven decisions on slow moving materials, excessive stock and expired materials of Field Department.
• Lead and implement initiatives, analysis and studies to identify improvement opportunities for inventory management.
• Interface with Operational Units, Maintenance Department, Warehouse and Materials Department in the processes for material transfers, downgrading and disposal.
• Coordinate periodic reviews of materials level settings of Field Department materials, collaborating with various Field Departments to forecast future inventory requirements
• Liaise with Project Execution Directorate and other Field department for definition of replenishment stock level of spare parts for new equipment/projects.
• Facilitate analysis of stock movements of Field Department materials, aiming to optimize overall inventory levels, minimize unnecessary purchase orders and prevent stockouts.
• Prepare and analyse monthly inventory reports including, but not limited to Slow-moving materials, Excessive stocks and expired materials for field department.
• Liaise with Field Departments to address material obsolescence issues.
• Develop and implement stock replenishment strategies, including definition of reorder points, safety stock, material criticality and economic order quantities.
• Coordinate cross-functional teams in conducting analyses and studies to identify improvement opportunities in inventory management and ensure that inventory/stock supports the needs of Operational Units effectively.
• Lead Inventory Optimization team, providing day to day tasks as well as long-term direction, development and performance management.
• Coordinate resources within Inventory Optimization team, working to close competency gaps, promoting continuous development for Engineers and highlighting to Superintendent where skills and/or capacity are not available to fulfil business demands.
• Participate in audits related to Field Department inventory, as requested by Maintenance Performance Superintendent and within the competence of this job position.
• Create, maintain and update all procedures and guidelines under the position of Senior Inventory Optimisation Engineer and relevant team.
• Design and create specific Key Performance Indicators to support decision making and improvement opportunities.
