Your work will directly support business leaders by providing financial insights, conducting variance analysis, and ensuring disciplined execution of financial cycles.
You will support day-to-day operational finance activities, partnering cross-functionally to ensure smooth financial operations, risk management, and compliance.
You will contribute to continuous improvement, automation, and process standardization initiatives that enhance forecasting, reporting, and operational finance efficiency.What do we want to know about you?
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in finance roles (budgeting, forecasting, FP&A, operational finance, statutory finance, tax).
- Understanding of industrial and rail services industries and long-term service contracts.
- Strong analytical, presentation, and communication skills.
- Fluency in English
- Practical knowledge of GAAP standards.
- Strong problem-solving mindset and ability to support data-driven decision-making.
- Support monthly, quarterly, and annual forecasting cycles for P&L and balance sheet.
- Participate in budgeting activities, including data collection, validation of assumptions, and preparation of submissions.
- Perform variance analysis (Budget vs Actuals, Budget vs Forecast, YoY), providing clear explanations and business insights.
- Track financial risks and opportunities and quantify their impact on business performance.
- Support US GAAP monthly close activities.
- Conduct analytics on P&L and balance sheet accounts.
- Prepare and post manual journal entries as required.
- Assist with order recognition, inventory reserve calculations, and other close tasks.
- Ensure high-quality reporting and timely submissions to HQ.
- Support day-to-day finance operations including cash planning, payment workflows, and customer invoicing coordination.
- Respond to ad hoc stakeholder and customer requests (reconciliations, confirmations, official letters).
- Support initiation of bank guarantees, performance bonds, and bid bonds.
- Perform account reconciliations and review documentation prepared by accounting teams.
- Assist the Senior Finance Manager EMEA and CFO EMEA with analysis of locomotive parts sales in CIS and other EMEA markets.
- Drive standardization of finance and reporting processes across parts sales operations.
- Conduct quarterly margin analysis of parts agreements.
- Partner with supply chain, operations, sales, tax, accounting, and IT finance to resolve issues and support operations.
- Participate in new order discussions and operational planning.
- Support automation and continuous improvement initiatives across finance workflows.
- Conduct deep-dive analyses to identify root causes and recommend corrective actions.
- Coordinate with internal and external auditors.
- Ensure compliance with internal controls, policies, and financial standards.
- Identify and help close control gaps.
