We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Manager to lead the development, improvement, and promotion of the AIFC Aviation Finance Hub. This role involves strategic planning and execution across key areas such as aircraft financing & leasing, sustainable aviation, aviation training and other areas to develop aviation finance ecosystem.Key ResponsibilitiesDrive the promotion and development of AIFC Aviation Finance Hub strategy and initiatives.Provide comprehensive support on aircraft financing transactions, including operating leases, finance leases, Islamic leasing, and other structures.Lead research and application processes in sustainable aviation including CORSIA certification for carbon credits, Sustainable Aviation Fuel (SAF) projects and infrastructure development.Initiate and advocate for legislative changes to enhance aviation financing and leasing frameworks.Collaborate with governmental entities, regulators, and industry stakeholders to develop aviation-related legislation.Build and maintain strong relationships with airlines, lessors, financiers, and other stakeholders.Develop and deliver specialized aviation finance, law, and sustainability training programs.Prepare high-quality presentations, reports, and briefing materials on aviation topics.QualificationsBachelor’s degree in aviation finance or finance (Master’s preferred).Strong knowledge of English law and international civil aviation law, including the Cape Town Convention.Experience working with governmental entities and promoting new products from a legal perspective.Experience in aircraft financing and leasing is required.Excellent drafting, negotiation, and communication skills.Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.Ability to work independently and as part of a team.Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).Language proficiency: Kazakh, Russian, English.Detail-oriented, organized, and able to manage multiple priorities.Strong relationship-building and stakeholder engagement skills.The Astana International Financial Centre (AIFC) is a unique centre on the economic map of the world, combining the best experience and the most modern capabilities of advanced financial centers from New York and London to Dubai, Hong Kong and Singapore.The AIFC’s mission is to contribute to the sustainable economic development of Kazakhstan and the region, by fostering innovation financial solutions and services by establishing an environment that delivers fair and transparent financial and capital markets, in which individuals and institutions act with integrity.The vision of the AIFC is to become the leading international financial centre in Central Asia, the Caucasus, the Eurasia Economic Union, Western China, Mongolia, and Eastern Europe.
