In this role, you will be responsible for designing, programming, and testing automated machinery and processes to ensure the efficient and accurate execution of tasks. You will play a key role in modernizing our systems and driving continuous improvement in production automation.Key Responsibilities
- Researching and implementing innovative automation solutions
- Designing and testing automated systems, equipment, and processes
- Programming and configuring automated components and control systems
- Troubleshooting issues, identifying defects, and improving process reliability
- Writing detailed reports on testing, errors, and process optimization
- Working closely with other departments to integrate automation with existing systems
- Supporting the commissioning of new automation systems
- Ensuring compliance with industry standards and company policies
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Automation and Control, Electronics, or Instrumentation Engineering, preferably with a focus on manufacturing, engineering design, or industrial projects.
- Relevant certifications or training in automation and control systems (e.g., Siemens, Honeywell, GE, etc.)
- Hands-on experience in process control systems (PCS/SCADA/DCS), production planning, and manufacturing data systems
- Familiarity with metallurgical production processes is an advantage
- Consulting experience in industrial automation or control system integration is a plus
- Proficient in Microsoft Office 365 (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio)
- Experience with Visual Studio and other relevant engineering software
- Knowledge of specialized automation and control software systems
- Experience in developing, implementing, and managing automation strategies across production units
- Knowledge of national standards and regulations in automation (e.g., SCADA/PCS compliance)
- Understanding of the technical specifications and operating principles of computing, communication, and network equipment
- Familiarity with formal programming languages, number systems, coding, and encryption methods
- Ability to structure and algorithmize engineering tasks and processes
- Knowledge of electrical installation codes (e.g., PUE – Rules for Electrical Installation)
- Familiarity with technical operation and safety rules for electrical installations (PTE and PTB)
